'SharedUtilityMart' began with a simple dream: to bring genuine Neapolitan pizza to New York. Founded by the Smith family in 1990, our pizzeria started as a small, family-run shop with recipes passed down through generations.
Elena Moretti, our founder, learned the craft of pizza-making during her journeys across Italy, studying with master pizzaiolos in Naples—the birthplace of the dish. Returning to the UK, she aimed to recreate the magic of true Italian pizza using time-honored techniques and top-quality ingredients.
What started as a modest 12-seat pizzeria has grown into a beloved local institution, yet our commitment to quality and authenticity has never wavered. We still employ wood-fired oven techniques, prepare our dough fresh daily, and source the finest ingredients we can find.
Today, 'SharedUtilityMart' remains family-owned and operated, with the second generation of the Smith family now leading our passionate team. While we've welcomed some modern innovations, the core of our business remains the same: crafting delicious, authentic pizza that brings people together.
